Compatibility Guide

Choose by the clear gap width

The 12–20 mm specification is the clear gap width between two adjacent wood slats. It is not the wood slat width or thickness.

This accessory range supports acoustic slat wall gaps from 12 mm through 20 mm, including both 12 mm and 20 mm. Acoustic panel profiles vary, so measure your own wall before ordering.

How to measure

  1. Measure the clear opening from the side of one wood slat to the side of the next slat.
  2. Measure at several points—such as the top, middle and bottom—because the gap may vary slightly.
  3. Use the narrowest consistent measurement and choose the matching size option on the product page.
  4. If the measurement falls between sizes or changes noticeably, contact us before ordering.

A rigid metric ruler can work, but a caliper usually gives a more precise result. Do not include either wood slat in the gap measurement.

Panel width and height: planning reference

Common European market examples include full-height panels around 2400 × 600 mm, formats such as 2440 × 610 mm or 2440 × 300 mm, and some custom heights up to about 2780 mm.

Important: These are market examples for installation planning, not a universal panel standard. Always use the exact panel width, height and construction specified by your panel supplier. Panel width and height do not determine whether an accessory will fit; compatibility is determined by the measured 12–20 mm clear gap between adjacent wood slats.

Installation planning

  1. Confirm the panel width and height, then mark the intended horizontal and vertical position of the accessory.
  2. Avoid panel outer edges, joints, cut edges and any visibly damaged area.
  3. Confirm the acoustic panel is securely installed and that the wall or substrate is suitable for the intended load.
  4. Select the accessory size using the measured clear gap—not the panel width, panel height or slat thickness.
  5. Insert the accessory gently and stop if the wood slats or acoustic felt begin to deform.
  6. Follow the product-specific installation and load guidance. Do not exceed any stated load limit.

Products marked “No-Drill” do not require permanent drilling. If the panel construction or mounting position is uncertain, contact us before installation.

Compatibility FAQ

Does 12–20 mm mean the wood slat thickness?

No. It means the clear gap width between adjacent wood slats.

Are both 12 mm and 20 mm gaps supported?

Yes. Both endpoints are included in the supported 12–20 mm range. Select the option that matches your measured gap.

Do these accessories fit every acoustic slat wall?

Not automatically. Panel layouts and tolerances vary by manufacturer, so always measure the actual clear gap before ordering.

What if my measurements are inconsistent?

Send us a clear side-view photo and the measurements from several points through the Contact page. We can help you check the most suitable option before you order.

Do I need to drill into the wall?

Products marked “No-Drill” do not require permanent drilling. For other products, follow the installation information provided with that product.
